Medicaid reimburses for SIPP services to provide extended psychiatric residential treatment with the goal of facilitating a successful return to treatment in a community-based setting.

SIPP Elegibility
Florida Medicaid recipients requiring medically necessary SIPP services who meet the following criteria:
–Under the age of 21 years
–Require treatment in a psychiatric residential setting due to a primary diagnosis of emotional disturbance or serious emotional disturbance as defined in Chapter 394, Florida Statutes.
